  • Robert Airo (Current)

    Robert Airo is a current member of our advisory board. He is a seasoned expert in exchanges and trading venues, bringing extensive experience in market operations and trading technologies. As the Chief Operating Officer at GTS Securities, LLC, he leads strategic initiatives and operational management, leveraging his deep expertise in trading systems and market structure.

    Previously, Robert spent over 18 years at NYSE, where he was integral to the management of Market, Trade Desk, and Security Clearing Operations. He played a key role in coordinating client service models, directing business strategies, and overseeing software and hardware implementations for both the trading floor and electronic trade desk. His work included defining order types and trading functionalities during the Pillar matching engine migration, and he served as a crucial resource for client education on NYSE market models.

    Robert’s background also includes significant roles at leading financial institutions such as ING Barings and Morgan Stanley, where he managed trading desks and covered key market segments including hedge funds and broker-dealers.

  • Nataliya Bershova (Current)

    Nataliya Bershova is a current member of our advisory board and serves as Head of Equity Electronic Trading at Truist Securities, where she leads the development and execution of the firm’s electronic trading capabilities across institutional and retail equities. With over 18 years of experience in quantitative algorithmic trading and market-microstructure research, Nataliya brings a unique blend of academic rigor and trading desk performance to her leadership role.

    Prior to joining Truist, Nataliya held senior positions at Sanford C. Bernstein (including SVP and Head of Execution Research) and Citadel, where she developed sophisticated trading algorithms, managed systematic equity flows, and conducted deep research into electronic market structure. Her PhD in financial economics with concentration in market microstructure —together with her earlier MS in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics—underpins her strong analytic approach to trading strategy design and execution optimization.

  • Todd Berlent (Current)

    Todd Berlent is a current member of our advisory board. He is a well respected leader in financial technology with extensive experience in alternative trading systems and market technologies. He recently joined Forta Solutions as their Chief Operating Officer.

    Todd's previous role as Chief Technology Officer at Cantor Fitzgerald highlighted his expertise in managing complex trading systems across multiple asset classes, including Fixed Income, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Investment Banking, and Prime Brokerage. His strategic oversight during the relaunch of Cantor's Fixed Income business post-9/11 and his long tenure at the firm underscore his deep understanding of trading technologies and platforms.

    Before Cantor Fitzgerald, Todd held significant positions at Deutsche Bank, where he managed North American Fixed Income Technology and led Autobahn Electronic Trading, and at TIBCO Software, where he was involved in market data and trading solutions. His diverse experience spans over three decades in trading systems and financial technologies, making him a valuable asset to advisory boards focused on enhancing alternative trading systems and market infrastructure.

  • Halima Butt (Current)

    Halima Butt is current member of our advisory board. She is a seasoned expert in alternative trading systems with a wealth of experience in strategy, operations, and market development. As Chief Operating Officer at Provable Markets, she spearheaded strategic planning and operational excellence, enhancing the firm's position in the trading technology sector. Her previous role as Head of Strategy & Sales allowed her to drive key business development and marketing strategies, further solidifying her expertise in market dynamics.

    At Euronext, Halima held several critical positions, including Head of US Platform Sales and Co-Head of Financial Derivatives, where she played a pivotal role in expanding trading platforms and developing innovative financial products. Her leadership in client strategy and market development at Euronext was instrumental in shaping the firm’s trading strategies and stakeholder relationships.

    Halima’s career spans influential roles at Société Générale and ABN AMRO Bank, focusing on equity derivatives and structured products. Her early experience at KPMG and ING Bank provided a strong foundation in financial services and trading operations.

  • Mark Campbell (Current)

    Mark Campbell is a current member of our advisory board and is a former member of Fidelity’s Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) leadership team. In this role he helped launch and was former President & CEO of Green Pier Fintech LLC, a registered broker-dealer offering execution and clearance services designed to meet the needs of digital-first financial intermediaries.

    Mark was previously head of the Order Flow Management Group at Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM), the institutional trading arm of Fidelity Investments, which provides trading products and services to a wide array of clients, including buy-side institutions and hedge funds, as well as to Fidelity’s own businesses. His responsibilities included the routing and execution quality of retail customer equity and option orders on behalf of hundreds of broker-dealer clients of Fidelity Institutional.

    Previously, he has held a variety of positions within Fidelity’s organization, including strategy and business planning, regulatory reporting, and financial analysis. Prior to joining Fidelity in 1998, Mark spent six years at Salomon Brothers serving as a business manager in Global Cash Equities as well as in various roles within operations and sales management. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Florida State University and held the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.

  • Michael Cashel (Current)

    Michael Cashel is a current member of our advisory board. He is a leading authority in alternative trading systems and fintech innovation. As the Founder of CapMarkets IQ LLC, he provides specialized consulting services in fintech, financial services, and management consulting. With extensive experience in the field, Michael has played a pivotal role in the development and management of several alternative trading systems.

    Notably, he was the Founder and CEO of Luminex Trading & Analytics, the first and only consortium-owned alternative trading system fully governed by the asset management community. His leadership was instrumental in establishing Luminex as a groundbreaking trading venue, earning industry recognition for its innovative approach.

    Michael's expertise extends to his role as CEO of Harborside Plus, one of the earliest alternative trading systems in the U.S. His career also includes significant positions such as Global Head of Equities at ION Markets and Fidessa.

    With a deep understanding of trading technology and alternative trading systems, Michael is a distinguished figure in the industry, known for driving innovation and strategic growth in financial markets.
